(French President Sues Magazine Over Ex-Wife Text Message Claim)

French President Nicolas Sarkozy is suing a French news website after it claimed he sent a text message to his ex-wife Cecilia just before his marriage to former super-model Carla Bruni.

The website of the magazine Nouvel Observateur reported that Sarkozy had written to his former wife -- quote -- "if you come back, I'll call it all off." Mr. Sarkozy's attorney said the website fabricated the entire story.

Mr. Sarkozy and his former wife announced their divorce in October, and he married Bruni last week following a whirlwind romance.

Earlier this week, a French court ordered the budget airline Ryanair to pay a symbolic one-and-a-half dollar award to Mr. Sarkozy and 88-thousand dollars to Bruni for unauthorized use of their picture in a newspaper advertisement.
