法国总统夫妇协议离婚 (French President, Wife Divorce by Mutual Consent)

法国总统办公室说，总统萨尔科奇与夫人塞西莉亚经双方同意已经离婚。

爱丽舍宫一份声明证实了总统夫妇分手的消息，这个消息成为法国各家报纸杂志的头号标题。

自从萨尔科奇今年五月就任以来，人们很少看见这两人在一起。有关方面星期一宣布，塞西莉亚不会陪同丈夫下星期对摩洛哥进行国事访问。

萨尔科奇夫妇1996年结婚，育有一个10岁的男孩，两人在之前的婚姻中各自育有两名成年子女。

The office of the French presidency says President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife, Cecilia, have divorced by mutual consent.

An Elysee Palace statement confirmed the split, which was widely reported in banner headlines of French newspapers and magazines.

The couple has rarely been seen together since Mr. Sarkozy took office in May. On Monday, it was announced that Cecilia would not accompany her husband on a state visit to Morocco next week.

The couple married in 1996 and have a 10-year-old son, as well as two grown children each from previous marriages. 

马尼拉爆炸8死70伤 (Blast Kills 8, Injures 70 in Manila)

菲律宾首都马尼拉金融区一座拥挤的购物中心发生剧烈爆炸，有8人死亡，70人受伤。

警方说，星期五发生在马卡蒂商业区格劳利埃塔购物中心的爆炸造成了大面积损坏。爆炸炸塌了屋顶，毁坏了墙壁，将碎片散落到外面的汽车上。

当局起初说爆炸是汽油瓶引起的，但后来又怀疑这种说法。当局目前说，爆破小组正在对事件展开调查。

当局还对整个马尼拉地区发布了安全警戒。

A powerful blast has rocked a crowded shopping mall in Manila's financial district, killing eight people and injuring 70 others.

Police say the blast today (Friday) at the Glorietta shopping center in the Makati business district caused extensive damage, toppling roofs, destroying walls and sending debris crashing onto cars outside.

Authorities initially said the explosion was caused by a gas cylinder, but later discounted that statement and now say bomb squad teams are investigating the incident. 

A security alert has been issued for the rest of the city.
