欧盟贸易负责人敦促中国制止盗版产品蔓延 (EU Trade Chief Urges China to Stop Widespread Product Piracy)

欧盟贸易专员曼德尔森敦促中国官员制止中国对外国品牌普遍的盗版活动。

曼德尔森说，对那些在中国做生意的欧洲公司来说，商业盗版是最大的问题。他星期三在北京和负责实施专利和版权法的官员会谈后做出以上评论。

这位欧盟贸易专员说，中国的盗版活动已经超出了仿冒奢侈品的范畴，扩展到了冒牌飞机部件和药品等。

曼德尔森说，欧洲港口去年没收的仿冒产品有一半以上来自中国。

曼德尔森同时还向北京方面抱怨，中国的电视台播放欧洲的节目，但是却没有缴纳任何版权费。

European Union trade chief Peter Mandelson is urging Chinese officials to stop the widespread piracy of foreign brands in their country.

Mandelson says commercial piracy is the biggest problem for European companies doing business in China. He was speaking Wednesday after talks in Beijing with officials responsible for enforcing patents and copyrights.

The E.U. trade chief says the piracy problem in China has expanded beyond fake luxury goods, to include fake aircraft parts and medicines.

Mandelson says more than half of all counterfeit goods seized at European ports last year originated in China.

He also complained to Beijing that Chinese television stations are failing to pay royalties for broadcasting European programs.

非官方结果显示，民主党候选人在全美各地的州长选举中有所斩获。

非正式的选举结果显示，民主党人星期二在36个州的州长角逐中已经赢得足够多数，使得民主党自1994年以来第一次赢得多数州的州长。

初步结果显示，民主党人会在俄亥俄州、纽约州、麻萨诸塞州以及其他15个州的选举中获胜，其中包括现任州长被击败的马里兰州。

预测将取得胜利的民主党人包括麻萨诸塞的德瓦尔.帕特里克，他将成为第二位当选为美国州长的非洲裔美国人。

在佛罗里达州，共和党候选人查利.克里斯特据信会击败民主党候选人吉姆.戴维斯。即将离任的佛罗里达州长杰布.布什是布什总统的弟弟。

Unofficial results show Democratic candidates gaining ground in governors races across the United State. 

Projections say Democrats may have won enough of the 36 governors seats contested Tuesday to gain a majority for the first time since 1994.

Early results gave the democrats Ohio, New York, Massachusetts, and 15 other states, including Maryland where an incumbent was defeated.

Among the Democrat's projected to win is Deval Patrick of Massachusetts, who would become only the second African American ever elected to a U.S. state's highest office.

In Florida, Republican candidate Charlie Crist is projected to win over the Democrat, Jim Davis. Outgoing Florida governor Jeb Bush is the brother of President George Bush.
